Went to see Age of the Marvellous yesterday. Its based on exhibitions they used to have in the Middle Ages whereby curious discoveries from around the world would be displayed under one roof.
Makes an interesting framework for a contemporary art exhibition. Everything is cloaked in a sense of history and theatrical curiosity, yet the pieces themselves feel new and contemporary. This dichotomy makes the whole thing quite fascinating, and successfully draws together a collection of largely disparate works. Definitely worth checking out, although it closes on Friday so hurry up.
